A Gmail extension for the rest of your inbox

Forty-seven newsletters a week. You read four.

Manila finds every subscription hiding in Gmail, shows you who's actually worth keeping, and unsubscribes you from the rest — on your computer, without ever reading your mail.

Free forever for cleanup · Pro is $4.99/month or $29.99/year · 7-day trial, no card

01 — The problem

Your inbox is full of mail you asked for in 2019.

Every free trial, checkout and webinar signed you up for something. Gmail files them under Promotions and calls it handled — but they still pile up, still bury the mail that matters, and a surprising number of them are subscriptions you're paying for.

Unsubscribing one at a time means hunting for a grey link at the bottom of each email. Manila reads the Gmail page you already have open, groups every sender, and turns the whole thing into one list you can act on.

02 — How it works

Three steps, about two minutes.

  1. Add it to Chrome

One click from the Chrome Web Store. No account to create and no Google sign-in.

  2. Scan your inbox

Open Gmail, click the Manila icon and hit Scan Inbox. Every sender is grouped in seconds.

  3. Keep or leave

Keep the ones you read. Unsubscribe from the rest on each sender's own page, one at a time or, with Pro, all at once.

03 — What Manila does

Scan once. Every subscription, sorted and ready to leave.

Finds every subscription.

One scan groups newsletters, receipts and marketing mail by sender, with how often they write and when you last opened one. Pro keeps watching as new ones arrive.

Unsubscribes the honest way.

Manila opens the sender's own unsubscribe page so it actually sticks — no filters, no fake "block". Pro does a whole batch in one go and tidies the leftovers out of view.

Shows what the noise costs you. Pro

An inbox health score, dormant senders you never open, and a spend tracker that adds up the subscriptions you're still paying for.

05 — Questions

Things people ask us.

Only on your screen. It's a browser extension that works on the Gmail tab you already have open — it reads sender names, subjects and dates from your inbox view, never the body of your mail. No server, no Gmail API, no Google sign-in. Nothing is uploaded.

Manila opens the sender's own unsubscribe page, or their most recent email, so you can confirm — that's the request senders are legally bound to honour. Pro users can select several subscriptions and unsubscribe from all of them in one go.

It hides that sender inside Manila Mail Manager: they drop out of your subscription list, stop being counted in your stats, and lose their Gmail badge. Nothing changes about your actual subscription — their emails keep arriving in Gmail as before.

It's a one-click tidy: every subscription email in the list you're looking at folds out of view, leaving the mail from real people. It's a view filter and nothing more — those emails stay exactly where they are, and one more click brings them back.

Yes. Cancel from the extension's settings or through the receipt Paddle emails you. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, then drop back to Free — nothing is deleted.

Three. A Chrome profile counts as one device, so a work laptop, a home machine and a second profile all fit. If you run out — say after a reinstall or a new laptop — open Settings in the extension and deactivate a device you no longer use.

Only occasionally. Activating Pro checks in with our licensing service, and the extension re-checks quietly in the background. If it can't reach us — offline, or a firewall in the way — Pro keeps working for a grace period rather than switching off.

Not yet — Manila Mail Manager works with Gmail, including Google Workspace addresses. Other providers may come later.
